THE Dinalupihan municipal government in Bataan is asking for public cooperation as the African Swine Fever (ASF) reached the town.

Mayor Angela Garcia revealed that four villages in the town were affected after several pigs tested positive of the disease.

“We are now coordinating with the proper authorities on how to control, contain and manage the situation and we are asking the public for their cooperation,” Garcia said.

The Provincial Veterinary Office and Bureau of Animal Industry are monitoring other areas that may be affected by the disease.

ASF tests are now being conducted in other towns and city of Bataan to prevent its spread. (PIA Central Luzon)
