Wilson 3x3 LDN leg kicks off January 18-19

THE Lanao del Norte leg of the Wilson 3x3 basketball tournament rolled off on Saturday-Sunday, January 18 to 19 at the Magoong covered court in Linamon town, Lanao del Norte some 104.3 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro City.

Wilson 3x3 Mindanao coordinator James Racines said that some 30 to 35 teams in four different categories have joined the competition organized by Lanao del Norte sportsman Dehron Lariosa and co-sponsored by Chooks-To-Go, Minute Burger and AQ Support.

Linamon town councilor Randy ‘Kinpee’ Macapil III and Wilson 3x3 Philippines Brand Manager Errol Elicanal were among those invited to grace the opening rites.

Medals, trophies and gifts packs were up for grabs in 22 Under (Born 1997), 19 Under (Born 2000), 17 Under (Born 2002, and 15 Under (Born 2004) categories.

Winners in this leg will advance to the National finals set in Manila on May 16-17.

Official venue will be announced later.

Racines also announced that registration for the Agusan del Sur, Panabo City and Davao City legs are scheduled next month. The Agusan del Sur leg is set on February 15 to 16 in Bah-bah, Poblacion court in Prosperidad, while the Panabo City, Davao del Norte and the Davao City legs are set on February 8 to 9.
