Klarex Uy endorses son as successor

NOW on his last term, Cagayan de Oro First District Representative Rolando “Klarex” Uy has officially endorsed his son, Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin “Kikang” Uy to succeed him in the Congress.

Uy announced this during the turnover of his projects in Barangays Bonbon and Kauswagan last week.

He said putting someone close to him in the Congress would be much easier for his unfinished projects to be completed.

(It’s true, I won’t deny because my aim is that I will let him continue my projects in District 1 which are still not finished and realize plans that are not yet implemented. He is easy to be instructed.)

(I’ll test his integrity, kindness and if he is really reliable especially to public service.)

Asked if his endorsement meant he has accepted Mayor Oscar Moreno’s offer to run for mayor, Uy was quick to say he hasn’t decided yet.

(No, not yet, I just endorse Kikang.)

Moreno, in several speeches repeatedly endorsed Uy to be his successor saying he wants the reforms he made in his nine-year stint be sustained.

Moreno, who is also on his final term as mayor said, he is also considering to run for governor in Misamis Oriental.
