He said in December, it reached to P210 per kg to P240 per kg.

"Ninormal na man siya sa January. Nibalik na siya sa presyo (The prices normalized in January)," Sibuan said.

The same trend is also noted by the Hog Farmers Association of Davao Inc. (Hogfadi) for live hogs.

Hogfadi president Eduardo So said the price for live hogs remained at P97 to P105 per kilo since last month.

"Sa karon, ang price is maintained and stocks are available (Right now, the price is maintained, and stocks are still available)," So said in a text message.

Earlier, So said Mindanao remained to be free from the African Swine Fever and urged fastfood chains and other areas in the country to source their pork meats in Davao City.
