Search for exceptional Zamboangueños now open

THE City Government announced that the annual search for exceptional Zamboangueños is now open.

Vice Mayor Rommel Agan, acting city mayor, said the 2020 Local Achievers Award has begun anew its annual search for exemplary Zamboangueños in the fields of sports, culture and the arts, public service, city government service, community service, investment and promotion, tourism, and the academe.

Agan said the recognition will also bestow to the top local corporate taxpayer and top local individual taxpayer based on business taxes paid to the Office of the City Treasurer.

He said the highest achiever award is dubbed the Orgullo de Zamboanga Premiar, an honor bestowed on a single individual in recognition of significant and meritorious contributions to the city.

He said the nomination forms are available at the City Public Information Division at City Hall Annex. Deadline for submission will be on February 17. (SunStar Zamboanga)
