THE Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-Zamboanga Peninsula arrested a construction worker and seized P170,000 worth of substance believed to be shabu in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City.
The Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the arrested suspect as Alpadar Abi alias Jon-Jon, 20, a construction worker and a resident of Sitio Asinan in the village of Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City.
The police said Abi was arrested by the RDEU led by Police Major Gaspar Gadingan in a drug bust around 3:30 p.m. Monday on Delos Reyes Street in the village of Talon-Talon.
Recovered from Abi were some P170,000 worth of shabu, a motorcycle, and P1,000 marked money.
The suspect was detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him, the police added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
