3 drug personalities nabbed in Bacolod

THREE drug personalities in Bacolod City were arrested in separate operations of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) on Thursday, July 11.

Police identified the suspects as Rodolfo Magbanua, 31, a high value target surrenderer, James Ong, 36, both residents of Barangay Vista Alegre; and Rene Boy Magan, 32, of Hacienda Carmen, Barangay Granada, all in Bacolod City.

Police records showed that Magbanua and Ong, who were on board a motorcycle, were arrested by personnel of BTAO during the clearing and colorum operations at Bangga Bakyas, Barangay Mansilingan at about 4 p.m.

Recovered from them were 14 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P6,800, digital weighing scale, two cellular phones, tactical knife, P1, 950 cash, and Honda motorcycle without plate number.

Magan was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 5 after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at 1:10 p.m.

Police recovered from Magan’s possession four sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P6,000, the P300 marked money, and P320 cash.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 5 and 7 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
