P692.83-M additional funds alloted for Z3R

THE National Housing Authority (NHA) has allocated P692.83 million as additional funds to cover the remaining Zamboanga City Roadmap to Recovery and Reconstruction (Z3R) projects, specifically the purchase and development of properties where permanent houses will be constructed.

NHA General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr. has also approved the realignment of remaining Z3R funds amounting to P105.039 million, specifically for the concreting of foot bridges in Sitio Hongkong in the village of Rio Hondo, as well as repair of wooden foot bridges.

In a letter to Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Escadala said the additional funds will cover the acquisition of the Chiong property at P23.15 million; development of Chiong property for Ayer Village III at P62.87 million; acquisition of Omar property at P25 million; development of Omar property at P98.53 million; acquisition of SPDA property covered under Presidential Proclamation 471 at P20.92 million; concreting of four foot bridges projects at P100 million; completion of Vale Vista Phase IV for the remaining 417 units at P137.34 million; and the concreting of five foot bridge projects at P225 million.

These will cost a total of P692.83 million.

Rodrigo Pagotaisidro, City Housing Division officer-in-charge, said once fully implemented, these projects will see the transfer to their permanent

homes of siege-affected families who are home-based, as well as those who remain in the transitory sites.

Pagotaisidro said the P103 million remaining Z3R funds has been realigned for the provision of solar panels to Z3R houses on stilts at P49 million, concreting of foot bridges in Sitio Hongkong in Rio Hondo and the immediate repairs of Z3R wooden foot bridges at P20 million, which has been downloaded to the City Government.

All these three projects will amount to P94 million, Pagotaisidro added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
