OLIVIA V. Yanson marks her 86th birthday Thursday, January 23, and she is expecting the presence of very important guests with no less than President Rodrigo Duterte, Senators Bong Go, Ronaldo "Bato" Dela Rosa, Cynthia Villar and Aimee Marcos, as well as the President's Cabinet secretaries, her family, friends and other guests to come to her grand celebration, which will be held today in a hotel in Bacolod City.
But prior to her grand celebration, she already tossed a simple birthday celebration with some friends and employees in seafood-loaded lunch and dinner held at their beach house in Bubog, Talisay City.
OVY has warmly welcomed her well-wishers and plainly told everyone, "Let's partake the food. This is for everyone."
OVY was simply clad in her floral dress with her hairpins on her hair.
Her close friends were even surprised to learn that OVY was throwing a birthday party because usually, they travel during her birthdays.
But even the motif was all her choice. One can see in OVY's face that she is happy celebrating her special day with the people who have been part of her life and enterprise.
She said, "I wish to be loving and giving always. I will continue my charity. I will spend my whole life doing charity works under my OVY foundation. I will continue my charity works until the end."
This birthday is for everybody, she added.
