THE Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) approved a total amount of P37,260,000 for the programs, projects and activities intended for the protection of Negrense children, during the PCPC regular meeting held at the Governor’s Office on January 20.
The meeting was presided by Governor Bong Lacson, who is the council’s chairperson.
The programs and projects are in cooperation with the concerned provincial government offices, government agencies, and non-government organizations who are members of the PCPC.
Among the programs are support to early childhood care and development, capability enhancement to children and youth, school empowerment towards protection of schoolchildren, feeding programs, and responsible adolescence program among others.
The council has also approved the PCPC schedule of activities for 2020.
The Provincial Planning and Development Office headed by Dr. Ma. Lina Sanogal heads the PCPC secretariat.
Also present in the meeting were Board Members Juvy Pepello and Tinto Bascon. (TDE)
