ATENEO de Manila University Cebuana setter Deanna Wong will be missing the Lady Eagles’ defense of their women’s volleyball title in the UAAP Season 82, which kicks off next month.
Dean Wong, Deanna’s father, confirmed the stunning development. “Yes, its true. She won’t play in Season 82,” said the elder Wong.
According to her father, Deanna has just recovered from a fractured shin and is still in the process of getting her conditioning back.
“Third week of November lang siya gitagaan ug clean bill of health to start running, jumping and lifting weights.
No practice with the team yet,” Dean said. With Season 82 all set to start, Wong’s camp decided that it was best that she sit out this season first and continue with the recovery and rehabilitation process. (JNP)
