DTI-Tarlac turns over 10 service facilities

TARLAC CITY – “The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) turned over a total of ten shared service facilities (SSF) to partner agencies or cooperators in Tarlac that assist micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) improve their productivity and product competitiveness.

“These cooperators are one with us in the development of the MSMEs by upgrading their production process through the SSF and we hope that these facilities will be maximized to meet the requirements of MSMEs in terms of productivity,” DTI provincial director Agnes Ramirez said.

Cooperators who received SSF equipment include The Lord’s Family Foundation for Banana Chips Processing, Health and Development for All Foundation and municipal government of San Clemente for Veggie Noodle and Other Healthy Food Processing; New Dapdap Farmers Marketing Cooperative and Samahan ng mga Taga Estipona Para sa Kaunlaran for Organic Fertilizer Production.

Other recipients were Association of Tarlac Organic Producers Trading Post, Inc. for Organic Herbs and Spices Processing, Global Agri-Venture Marketing Cooperative for Dairy Products Processing, municipal government of Moncada for Sweet Potato Wine Manufacturing, Amucao Seed Growers Association for Smoked Fish Processing, and provincial Government of Tarlac for Packaging Facility.

SSF is one of the government’s projects which aims to provide tools and equipment depending on the products and needs of the MSMEs and other beneficiaries concerned. (PIA-Central Luzon)
