ED BASBAS shot 67 Molave points to take the over-all champion in Baguio Country Club’s Kafagway Golf Tournament Series recently.
Mars Garcia, meanwhile, fired 48 points edging Jun Bantales to win the championship in Men’s Class A with Bantales settling for second while Pol Mayos, who scored 44 points salvaged third place.
Dan Torres was tied with Jun Tabanda with 34 points after 18 holes but Torres had a better score in the last three holes to steal the championship in Class B with Jun Pangan settling for third.
In the guest division, Virgilio Bucat shot 49 points to top Class A with Maffy Bazar and Ramir Badua finishing second and third respectively after firing away 48 and 45 points respectively.
In Class B of the men’s guest division, Don Lerit scored 35 to win the championship trophy with Lorenzo Dela Cruz settling for second.
Dela Cruz also fired 35 points but Lerit had the lower handicap to clinch the title while journalist Harley Palangchao chipped 34 markers to salvage a decent third place finish.
In the ladies division, Nora Sy took home Class A edging Beth Patterson while Mel Donato topped class B with Lanie Julian finishing second.
In the ladies guest division, Charmaine Molintas came up with 34 points to win the division with Sun Ja Jung and Epi Geston landing second and third respectively.
Special awards went to Alex Tan for longest drive (#3), Cleso Pestano for the most accurate drive (#8), and Mars Garcia for the nearest to the pin (#1).
