DUE TO the increasing demand for internet access in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, Globe Telecom has launched on Friday, January 24, its Globe at Home Fiber Facility, the first in the province.
With high internet speed, households and commercial establishments can now sign up for the latest fiber internet technology in the city.
Pernell Feliciano, Globe's area sales head for Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental and Camiguin, said this is the first time that they launched fiber technology outside Cagayan de Oro.
He said the industry and economy of Gingoog City is booming and the internet consumption is getting higher.
"Gusto sa Globe nga mapalambo ang internet access sa Gingoog busa gi-launch diri kay booming ang industry and economy ug taas ang internet consumption," Feliciano said.
"Nakita namo nga sa Gingoog City napuno na ang VDSL so kailangan namo i-augment through fiber kay mas bag-o nga technology," he added.
Feliciano said more than 200 lines are now available in several villages.
So far, he said around eight households have already subscribed the fiber internet connection.
"Before sa launching naa nay nag sign-up mga around eight. Ang Globe at Home fiber facility mao ning ikabit nato sa mga balay. Dependent gihapon sa router," Feliciano said.
"Ang fiber facility mas paspas iyang internet speed kay bag-o ni nga technology. Maka cater kini og 1gb nga speed," he added.
The Globe at Home Fiber Facility was introduced during the launching of the Cafe U-Night by the bay in Gingoog City, on Friday.
The cafe by the bay happens every Fridays and Saturdays.
