P130-K ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P130, 000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” was seized in separate drug busts of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City from January 24 to 26.

The operations led to the arrest of Leo Agsam, 24 of Barangay Villamonte; Ronald Lobaton, 54, Angelica Peruelo, both residents of Barangay 40; and Johnryl Berondo, of Barangay Estefania.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Agsam was arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at Ylac Street, Barangay Villamonte at about 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, January 26.

Police recovered from Agsam’s possession four sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P30, 000, the P500 marked money, and P5, 000 cash.

Lobaton and Peruelo were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 6 at Libertad Public Market in Barangay 40 at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, January 25.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession three sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P5, 000 and drug paraphernalia.

Berondo was arrested by operatives of Police Station 5 at Purok Sambag, Barangay Estefania Friday evening, January 24.

Police recovered from Berondo’s possession eight sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P95, 000, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 4, 5 and 6 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
