Nopsscea readies for Western Visayas Prisaa

A TOTAL of 300 student-athletes, coaches and delegation officials from Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (Nopsscea) are up for the 2020 Western Visayas Prisaa Meet slated January 31-February 4, 2020 in Roxas City, Capiz.

The Nopsscea contingent will be competing in the secondary and collegiate divisions of the scheduled 16 sports undertakings. “We have allocated Php 700,000 as budget for our contingent.”

Nopsscea president Mark Molina said that for the first time, Noppscea had its send-off mass for the athletes last January 24 at the University of St. La Salle Chapel.

“We also took advantage of the gathering to send a message and instructions to the team,” Molina said. “I also introduced Novy Radislao of Colegio San Agustin Bacolod to assist Nopsscea Executive Director for Sports Jose Dante Albao.”

On Saturday, Radislao gave her final instructions to all coaches who are going to Roxas this Friday, Jan 31.

Molina, who is also the Western Visayas Prisaa president, gave some updates on the regional meet preparations. “We have set aside a budget of P1.9 million for the staging of this hostilities. The TechniCom is also conducting screening process of all docs submitted by different associations,” he said.

“Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion, as host school, is closely coordinating with University of San Agustin-Iloilo’s Dems Toledo with regards to logistics. So far, everything is under control and I haven’t heard of any concern yet,” he added.
