THE Alpha Zeta chapter of Alpha Kappa Rho fraternity gathered to celebrate its 28th anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at the Conching’s Native Chicken in Mandaue City.

Alpha Zeta, a collegiate Alpha Kappa Rho chapter in Southwestern University-Phinma, was founded as Alpha Epsilon but was renamed Alpha Zeta in November 1992. It was formally inaugurated in January 1993.

The chapter was founded by Den Jerson Tongco, Kenneth Lim and Alvin Diron.

The 28th anniversary celebration was attended by the members, officers and former Grand Skeptrons.

Former Sambag 1, Cebu City barangay captain Lemar Alcover was also there to celebrate with his fraternal brothers.

Over the years, Alpha Zeta has been participating in various community outreach programs of Alpha Kappa Rho such as medical missions, feeding programs, basketball court rehabilitation, basic life support seminars and workshops. (S)
