Gerry thinks Garcia an easy foe for Pacquiao

FOLLOWING an impressive win over Ivan Redkach, two-division world champion Danny Garcia has joined the list as Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao’s next possible opponent.

Garcia scored a unanimous decision over Redkach last Jan. 25, 2020 (US time) at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York and he said that he wants Pacquiao next.

If ever Pacquiao chooses Garcia as his next opponent, the 41-year-old fighting senator’s friend Gerry Peñalosa feels that it will be a one-sided contest.

“That’s an easy fight for Manny if ever. Easy money,” the two-division world champion told SunStar Cebu. “Garcia’s style is made to order for Manny.”

Pacquiao is coming off an impressive year in 2019 after beating Adrien Broner and Keith Thurman.

Some of the possible Pacquiao opponents are Errol Spence Jr., Shawn Porter, Terence Crawford and Mikey Garcia. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is also in the mix if he decides to come back and also UFC star Conor McGregor.

But if Peñalosa gets to decide who he wants Pacquiao to fight, he’ll pick Mayweather in a heartbeat. However, that fight ever happening is close to impossible.

“I still want Mayweather (for Manny),” he said. “I know if Mayweather will need money, he’ll make a comeback. The thing is he’ll want an easy fight.” (EKA)
