Molbog-Mendoza: ‘100 Tula Para Kay Stella’ is getting a sequel

IT’S official! The well-loved film “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” is getting a sequel finally.

No other than its director, Erick John Laxamana, made the announcement on his Facebook account on Tuesday, January 28.

“And it’s official,” he captioned an image of him with a promo collateral of the movie on his background.

This revelation gathered thousands of engagements right away. In fact, it already gathered more than 23,000 reactions, 10,000 comments, and 37,000 shares from fans two hours after it was posted.

Most of the awaiting followers of Bela Padilla and JC Santos shared their excitement about the latest update. Accordingly, they have been on the look for any announcement on the second installment of the romance-drama project from Viva Films.

In the meantime, several fans said they would prepare rolls of tissue paper since it is going to be another a tear-jerky movie.

Apart from confirming the arrival of “100 Tula Para Kay Stella 2” in cinemas one of these days, Laxamana did not disclose other details.

Back in August 2017, the story of the 120-minute film brought tears to a lot of moviegoers.

Laxamana, who both wrote and directed the first installment of the project, was successful in drawing different emotions from the audience while watching it. At some point, fans were laughing. There were numerous scenes, too, that made their tears roll down their cheeks.

With the sequel now confirmed, fans are already asking for the things they must look forward to. Would it be successful in sustaining the moviegoers’ interest?

To recall, the original movie was able to hit the P80 million mark in gross income in less than a week after it premiered. Likewise, it received the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2017’s Audience’s Choice Award.
