“According to the mayor, 50% of that or 400 will be set aside exclusively for the Cebu Association of Tour Operators (Cato) while the remaining 400 will then be shared by the LGU, the coop that runs the tours there. This is made up of the fisherfolk, the fishermen and the resort owners which now number over a hundred resorts”, matod ni Garcia sa mga tigbalita gahapon, Enero 29.

That is also another aspect that we should look into on how to attract further atong mga turista. You can imagine how that would limit the business of our resorts including the income of the fishermen coop and income for the LGU because Cato will take away half of that,” matod ni Garcia.

“I have directed PENRO to do that in order to see whether or not they do conform with the existing laws and it would also be time to revisit the ordinance which was passed during my time pa which define the protocols that would be instituted in the accommodation of tourist and in the conduct of the activity of whale watching in that area, even the fees that should be collected”, matod ni Garcia.

“Cebu deserves to level up, di na ta managinot”.

“Atong ipatigbabaw ang interes sa katawhan, ang interes sa lungsod hand in hand with our push to promote tourism in the province of Cebu”, matod ni Garcia.
