4 ‘pushers’ collared, P900,000 marijuana eradicated

FOUR suspected drug pushers including a minor were arrested during a drug bust conducted by the police and drug enforcement units, while more than P900,000 worth of marijuana plants were uprooted and burned onsite during a one day marijuana eradication.

Joint operatives of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (LTMPS) and members of the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Dave Arquero Bugarin, 37, Jayson Nazareno Salvador, 23, was collared at Palmaville, Puguis, La Trinidad in separate arrests conducted January 24.

One heat–sealed sachet of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), a cellphone and P1,000 drug bust money were recovered and seized from Bugarin’s possession, while four sachets of suspected shabu, P2,000 cash, and cellular phone were seized and confiscated from Salvador.

Junjun Battung Vital, 18, and a 17-year-old student both from Mallig, Isabela were also apprehended at Buyucan, Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the afternoon of January 25.

Seized from their possessions were plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, sando bag containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and stalks, and a motorcycle.

Meanwhile, P956,200 worth of marijuana plants were eradicated in Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan on January 24.

Joint personnel of Kibungan MPS, Provincial Investigation Bureau, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CAR discovered three marijuana plantation sites at Sitio Dalipey and Sitio Culiang, Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet with a land area of 1,020 square meters cultivated with an aggregate of 4,905 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants which were eradicated by the said operatives.
