THE local government will be holding a week-long music, food, and arts festival in line with the celebration of the 83rd Dia de la Ciudad de Zamboanga in February.
Acting Mayor Rommel Agan said the activity, dubbed as the Zamboanga Love Fest, is set to open its doors to the public from February 10 to 14 on Baban Street in the village of Baliwasan, Zamboanga City.
Baban street is located between the campuses of the Western Mindanao State University and Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College.
Agan said the Love Fest will feature different products and concessionaires of music, food, arts, fashion, gardening, and lifestyle.
He said that interested concessionaires are invited to join this year's Zamboanga Love Fest.
The registration period will be from February 3 to 5 at the City Hall Public Information Office. Orientation for participating concessionaires will be on February 6.
Agan said the Zamboanga Love Fest is one of the activities leading up to the Dia de Zamboanga celebration on February 26.
Meanwhile, Agan issued an executive order for the temporary closure of Ricardo Baban Street for the duration of the conduct of the Zamboanga Love Fest 2020.
Temporary booths and decorations will be set up in the whole stretch of Baban Street for the activity that entails the temporary closure of the street. (SunStar Zamboanga)
