FORMER One Championship featherweight world champion Honorio Banario looks to kick of his 2020 on a high note.

Banario will be tested once again when he takes on Thai superstar Shannon Wiratchai in a featherweight contest in the undercard of ONE: King of the Jungle slated at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on February 28.

Both Banario and Wiratchai are looking for statement-making wins to kick-start their year.

Banario is eager to get his first victory after failing in his last three contest on 2019 against Lowen Tynanes, Dae Song Park, and Shinya Aoki.

Wiritchai also suffered the same fate in 2019 after getting stopped by Shinya Aoki, Tsogookhuu Amarsanaa and Iuri Lapicus.

King of the Jungle will be headlined by two-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex of Thailand who will defend her ONE atomweight kickboxing world title against Janet Todd of the United States.

Stamp returns to ONE Super Series action to defend her title. After going 4-0 in mixed martial arts competition thus far, the 22-year-old phenom has taken the world by storm, captivating audiences across the globe with her striking prowess and unmistakable charm.

Stamp recently saw action in ONE: A New Tomorrow at home in Bangkok, where she finished Puja Tomar via first-round technical knockout. Now she makes the quick turnaround to defend one of her prestigious belts.

Todd, a two-time Pan-American Muay Thai Champion, challenged Stamp in early 2019 for the inaugural ONE atomweight Muay Thai world championship, but ultimately fell short of victory after five close rounds.

In the co-main event of the evening, reigning ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao of Thailand will take on Rocky Ogden of Australia for the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title.

In a lightweight contest, Amir Khan of Singapore will take on ONE Warrior Series contract winner Kimihiro Eto of Japan while veteran Yoshihiro Akiyama of Japan and Korea returns to action against Sherif Mohamed of Egypt in a welterweight mixed martial arts contest.

Top women’s atomweight and former ONE world title challenger Mei Yamaguchi of Japan continues her march to the top of the weight class, this time by facing formidable Chinese adversary, Meng Bo.

Unbeaten American bantamweight contender Troy Worthen will take on New Zealand’s Mark Fairtex Abelardo, a ONE Warrior Series contract winner.
