BUSINESSMAN Sonny Dimaano annexed the title of the
Metro Davao Bowlers Association, Inc. (Metba-Davao) weekly tournament held at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center Friday evening, January 31.
Dimaano, with a handicap of 24, amassed a total of 631 pinfalls after three games to beat Rene Boy Dalayon, Lito Ramajo and Danny Usman who placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
Dalayon, whose handicap is 16, toppled 603 pins while Ramajo (28) hit 573 pinfalls and Usman (30) scored 552.
Dimaano took home P1,000 while Dalayon, Ramajo and Usman received P600, P300 and P200, respectively.
In the ladies division, Belle Ymbang struck for 538 pinfalls to emerge champion at the expense of Jingkee Moradas and Rachel Payca who grabbed the next two spots.
Moradas edged Payca, 532-531, to romp away with the runner-up honors.
The tournament serves as qualifying for the monthly finals.
