MUNICIPAL Agrarian Reform Program Officers (Marpos) of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental – North have gathered for a regular monthly conference at the agency’s provincial office in Bacolod City on Monday, February 3.

The activity led by Provincial Agrarian Reform program officer (Parpo) II Teresita Mabunay and Parpo I Milagros Flores aims to layout different strategies and outline various action plans in order to accomplish the department’s targets.

Also, to align undertakings in accordance to the directives set by DAR-Central Office.

The one-day conference included presentation of the directives for this year, which are in line with the four major final outputs of the agency.

These are agrarian legal services, land tenure services, agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) development support program, and support to operation.

Discussion of problems, issues and concerns was also part of the activity.

The DAR, through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (Carp), is the lead government agency that holds and implements comprehensive and genuine agrarian reform.

It is true to its vision to the stakeholders in the provision of a just, safe and equitable society that upholds the rights of tillers to own, control, secure, cultivate and enhance their agricultural lands as well as improve their lives towards rural development and national industrialization.
