P10-K ‘shabu’ seized in Barangay 19

AN ESTIMATED P10,000 worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 6 at Galo Street, Barangay 19, Bacolod City Monday evening, February 3.

The operation led to the arrest of Darwin Tabotabo, 36, of Purok Tisa, Barangay 20.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said Tabotabo was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover around 6:30 p.m.

Police recovered from Tabotabo’s possession five sachets of suspected shabu, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 6 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, two men were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 2 for allegedly stealing chairs in a resto bar at Barangay 7, Bacolod City Monday evening.

Arrested were Cris Derla, 35, and Rocky Artus, 18, both residents of Barangay Vista Alegre.

Pico said the suspects were caught in the act stealing nine pieces of plastic chairs at about 10:20 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession nine pieces of black chairs.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and facing theft charges. (MAP)
