HUGOT ang desisyon ni Gobernador Gwendolyn Garcia nga dili ipadala ang tanan nga mga atleta nga moapil sa Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (Cviraa) bisan pa man og gi-irog ang kompetisyon sa Marso tungod sa hulga sa 2019-novel Coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCov ARD).
Gikwestyon ni Garcia ang sakop sa Local School Board atol sa gipahigayon nga pulong niini sa Pebrero 4, 2020 tungod alang niya dili kinahanglan nga mopadala og daghang mga atleta nga mag risgo sa mga tinun-an sama sa nahitabo nga insidente sa Boljoon nga mikalas og kinabuhi.
Kini human mihangyo si DepEd Province head, Dr. Marilyn Andales kon mamahimo ba nga magpadala sila og atleta nga maoy mahimong representante sa Sugbo sa Cviraa karong Marso, kini taliwa sa gipasar nga resolusyon sa Disyembre 13, 2019 pinaagi ni Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco nga inay moapil sa indigay sa paugnat sa kusog mas hatagan og bili ang academics.
“I endorsed the appeal of our Public Schools District Supervisors for reconsideration that we will be allowed to join our Cviraa, and we could not join Cviraa if we could not select athletes so this is our appeal to the august body that we would be allowed to join the Cviraa considering that it is also a part of our KRA’s (key result areas) as leaders and also the competencies of our children”, matod ni Andales.
Matod ni Garcia nga dili siya matandog sa hulga sa mga School District Supervisors tungod lang sa iyang pagdili pag pa-apil sa mga tinun-an sa Cviraa.
“That’s probably why some of these district supervisors hiding behind pseudonyms pulos nanghulga nako nga dili na kuno ko padag-on sa sunod eleksyon kay ang Cviraa kuno wa kuno nako gipadayon, besides dili ni about sa election its about who is best, what is best for our students and the province,” matod ni Garcia.
Dugang niya nga ang pag dili niya usa ka lakang pagpanalipod sa mga tinun-an panahon nga mobyahe kini kauban sa mga mo tan-aw sa kompetisyon.
Gawas sa risgo nga atubangon sa mga tinun-an sa pag byahe, ang risgo usab sa panglawas niini ilabi na sa nagpadayon nga pag obserbar karon sa mga nag positibo sa 2019- nCoV ARD.
“Besides this is really the wrong time to bring this up, we are facing such a big crisis in case DepEd still does not know we have over 80 persons under investigation karon for the coronavirus, the first registered death outside the China we have this unforunate reputation nga naa diri sa Pilipinas. When we are facing this health crisis naghuna-huna ta nga mao na’y petition nila ang ilang puntos, kaning mga bata they’d be subjected to all kinds of illness, the weather kung mo uwan diha mo init pangsip-unon pang ubhon karon nga naay coronavirus naay nCoV,” dugang ni Garcia.
Ang Cviraa gikatakda nga ipahigayon sa Marso sa lungsod sa Dumaguete.
Buot ni Garcia karon nga kon man gani mopadala og atleta sa maong kalihukan og pilion daan ang katong maka-mao tungod.
“I already gave you fair warning and you cannot change my mind bisag unsaon pa ko ninyo ug hulga nga di nako modaog sunod eleksyon kay this isn’t about election, it is about my responsibility to the school children that are being subjected to so much risk”, matod ni Garcia. (ANV)
