Loman named Brave ‘fighter of the year’

TEAM Lakay’s Stephen Loman is named Brave Combat Federation’s (CF) fighter of the year.

For the second consecutive year, Loman took home Bahrain’s mixed martial arts promotion captured the most coveted individual award of the year a judge of panelists from the Brave Insider Podcast.

In 2019, Loman defended his belt twice, passing his biggest challenges to date with flying colors. On March 15, he had a much-deserved homecoming, headlining Brave CF 22: Storm of Warriors, which took place at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Loman took on former featherweight world champion Elias Boudegzdame and ran through the French-Algerian fighter, stopping him in the fourth round with a TKO that sent shockwaves through the division.

Loman then traveled to India to produce the first-ever world title fight in Indian territory.

At Brave CF 30, he took on Louie Sanoudakis, from Canada, and went on a rampage again, beating his rival by unanimous decision and maintaining his belt in dominant fashion.

With the win in Hyderabad, Stephen extended his dominance as the longest-reigning world champion in Brave CF.

Loman is the only bantamweight world champion who has defended his title four times in a row.

The Team Lakay fighter said he is looking to stay active this year and hopes to defend his title in the country.
