Next level beauty: Aesthetic center in Cebu showcases modern tech

KIZUNA Aesthetic Center by Dr. Select is a newly opened Japanese skincare center in Cebu. Dr. Hope Valerie Solano, a dermatologist and a diplomate of the Philippine Dermatological Society, and Moie Fujimoto, a certified aesthetician in Japan, are the mainstays of the center. Both were sent to Japan for formal training on the use of the technologies developed by Japanese skin specialists, Dr. Select.

To experience the treatment of the center located at the second basement of Robinsons Galleria Cebu, one has to make an appointment first.

Upon arrival, the receptionist greets you and makes you feel comfortable. She hands you a form to fill up with basic information about yourself, including medical concerns like allergies and the kinds of medicine you are taking. You also indicate the treatment you want, and the options are plenty: Removal of black heads, warts and age spots; body and face contouring; wrinkle reduction; acne and scar treatments; laser hair removal; botox; hyaluronic acid fillers; mesotherapy; injectables of gluthathion, placenta and vitamin C; chemical peels; skin cancer detection; and consultation for skin, hair and scalp.

Dr. Solano will then be there to greet you. If you ask her about the place, she will explain that she was chosen by Dr. Select’s Dr. Kentaro Ono to run the center. She had to undergo training in Japan on the use of its Mediline Radiofrequency, which melts fats and cellulites, stimulates collagen and tightens loose skin; and its Ultimate Facial Aqua Medication, which cleans pores and removes blackheads, exfoliates skin and improves oxygen levels making the skin brighter with a more uniform tone.

Solano said: “Cebuanos can expect that our ingredients and medical solutions are of high quality and feature advanced technology from Japan. We hired a Japanese aesthetician to give everyone the same techniques used by our sister company, Fujieda Skin Clinic.”

If you ask, she can show you around the center with its treatment rooms and the machines from Japan. With a clinic staff, she will then guide you to the chosen room where you are made as comfortable as can be before she begins with the procedure you have chosen. Whatever treatment you choose, the doctor will make sure it is delivered in the most professional manner with the help of the chosen special machine. Whether it’s the Mediline Radiofrequency or the Ultimate Facial Aqua Medication, you’re sure to leave the clinic not only satisfied but also beautified.

The name Kizuna, incidentally, means “connection.” The clinic is meant to be a “bond” between the Japanese and Filipino. With that in mind, Dr. Solano and her team are eager to make this “bond” a place to go to for Cebuanos who want their first-class beauty treatments.
