Two ‘pushers’ nabbed at separate drug raids

TWO suspected drug pushers were arrested by operatives of the Carbon Police Station in separate anti-drug operations on Colon St., Cebu City on Thursday night, Feb. 6, 2020.

The operations yielded a crystalline substance believed to be shabu with a street value of around P700,000.

Captain Alvin Llamedo, Carbon Police Station chief, spearheaded the operation which led to the arrest of Edwin “Bok” Pinili, a resident of Barangay Taclubo, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

An hour later, police apprehended another suspected drug pusher after Pinili confessed to having an associate.

Arrested was Nenita “Nina” Bicoy, a resident of Barangay Daro, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.

Police were able to seize over P300,000 worth of shabu each from Pinili and Bicoy.

Llamedo said initial investigation showed that the shabu was allegedly sourced from Dumaguete.

The suspects reportedly transported the illegal drugs aboard a bus to Cebu.

Llamedo, though, is doubtful that the shabu came from Dumaguete.

When asked to whom they were going to deliver the drugs, Pinili and Bicoy reportedly failed to give the names of their clients.

Pinili and Bicoy are currently detained at the Carbon Police Station while the criminal complaints against them will be readied. (BBT, RTF)
