Cervantes: How to prepare for the Warning

THE 2019-nCoV, African Swine Fever, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, huge locust swarms, strange manifestations in the skies.... a litany of tribulations. Only the blind won’t see these as biblical signs of the times.

Through all these are supernatural phenomena, mainly Marian apparitions, explicitly declaring some finality in our era and warning of the need for us to change or else.

In the past columns, I shared with you messages about the Warning, the first of the three prophesied events as conveyed by the Blessed Mother in her apparitions in Garabandal, Spain from 1961 to 1965.

Having covered what the Warning would be, I continue sharing messages on how to prepare for the Warning.

On June 5, 1992, Matthew Kelly was reported to have received the following message from God the Father: “Poor souls, all of you, robbed of the knowledge of My love. Be ready for this judgment of Mine. . . Now do you see how important these times are? Don’t wait for this Mini-Judgment. You must start to look at yourselves more closely so that you can see your faults and repent. You are fortunate to have thefaith needed to read, believe, and accept this message. You must not go away indifferent to it. You must examine yourself more every day and pray in reparation. All of you, be like the blind man. Each day you should cry, ‘Lord, open my eyes,’ and My Son will open your eyes so that you can see your wretchedness and repent. Pray now more than ever, and remember the world’s standards are a false indication of My justice. I am your God, and while I am perfectly merciful to those who repent, I am perfectly just to those who do not. Many people think that I, your God, won’t mind. ‘It’s only little,’ they say. But it’s not a matter of minding. I want people to love Me. Love respects little things, as well as the big things; and in most cases, these little things are not so little.

“Do not judge your actions or others’ actions. You are unable to judge. You are incapable of judging because you cannot read a man’s heart. You must love Me with your whole heart, with your whole mind, with your whole soul, and with your whole strength. Today is the day. Do your best to renounce yourself and let Christ reign in your lives. You will never be ready for the Mini-Judgment, but some will be more prepared than others. You mustaim to be one of those and bring as many others as you can to be prepared, or as prepared as possible. Above all, do not fear. I don’t tell you all this to become scared. No, simply try to become better people each day. More than this I could not ask.

“I am your God. I am perfectly just and perfectly merciful. You are sons and daughters of Mine. Does not a father look after his children? I send this message to spare you from any pain I can; but the pain that you experience by seeing the darkness of your soul is an act of love on My behalf. Do you not see that this will return many, many souls to a fuller love of Me? This will save many souls from the fires of hell. This is the most important of all My messages: I am the Lord, your God. You are My sons and daughters, whom I love very much, and My greatest delight is in being with you; and I want to be with you for eternity. Anything I do is done out of love for you, My children. Trust in Me, your Heavenly Father.”

Matthew Kelly is not your ordinary concept of a mystic who is supposedly materially poor, reserved, introverted, hermit type. He was born on 12 July 1973 in Sydney and is the fourth of eight boys and become a rowdy teener until, in his later teen years, he started to go to Mass frequently and because deeply religious.

Wikipedia says his “speaking engagements have included travel in more than 50 countries, where he has spoken to millions of people. In 1995, Kelly became the founder of and contributor to the Matthew Kelly Foundation, a charitable organisation. He is also the founder and CEO of Floyd consulting (formerly known as Beresford Consulting) and The Dynamic Catholic Institute.”
