THE Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) captured the overall Athletic Association (RSCUAA) Sports Conference, dubbed “Harnessing Human Development in SUs through Sports, Culture, and Arts” held at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) in Talisay City.
ISAT U dominated the week-long competition with a total of 105 gold medals alongside 45 silver and 49 bronze medals followed by the West Visayas State University with 79 gold, 58 silver, and 82 bronze medals as Capiz State University settled for third place with 52-41-64 gold-silver-bronze haul.
Meanwhile, host-CHMSC finished fourth over-all with 30 gold, 62 silver and 68 bronze medals followed by the University of Antique with 29 gold, 37 silver, and 30 bronze medals.
Completing the 13 schools are Central Philippine State University (22-30-39), NIPSC (11-15-26), ASU (7-20-10), GSC (7-8-18), NONESCOST (6-13-27), University of the Philippines-Visayas (4-4-0), while the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas ended with no medal.
Barotac Nuevo will host the next RSCUAA in 2021. (JSG)
