THE Iloilo City Government gave certificates of recognition and cash incentives to two Ilonggos who showed noteworthy acts and admirable level of honesty during Monday's (February 10) flag ceremony at City Hall.
Taxi driver Ryan Evangelista returned a wallet with P10,000 cash to a passenger he picked up in front of West Visayas State University Medical Center January 20.
Traffic aide Jonji Belarma of Public Safety and Transportation Management Office returned an endorsed check he found on the street while on duty to Human Resource Management and Development Office of Iloilo Provincial Government January 22.
Councilors Carlos C. Javellana, Rudolph Jeffrey O. Ganzon, and Irene D. Ong handed the certificates and P2,000 each to Evangelista and Belarma.
"Their commendable displays of values are certainly worthy of recognition, and should serve as an inspiration to all Ilonggos," the citation read. (PR)
