PDEA nabs lady drug supplier

A SUSPECTED big-time distributor of illegal drugs in Angeles City was nabbed over the weekend by joint operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon and Angeles City Police Office Station 6.

PDEA-Central Luzon Director Lyndon Aspacio said the suspect, identified as Sarah S. Sandalo, 32, a resident of Barangay Sun Valley in Paranaque City, was arrested inside a fast food restaurant on Jake Gonzales Boulevard, Barangay Virgen Delos Remedios on Sunday afternoon.

Aspacio said Sandalo is listed as a high-value target for her vast involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs in Angeles and Mabalacat cities.

"Sandalo is a high value target and she has been in our radar since December 2019. She is from Metro Manila and one of the major distributor of shabu in Angeles City and Mabalacat City," Aspacio said.

During her arrest, Sandalo yielded a medium plastic bag containing 100 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated street value of P680,000, and the marked money used in the operation.

The suspect is now detained at the PDEA jail facility in Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) of Article II of Republic Act 9165 is being readied for filing in court.
