Camsol named ways and means, social justice chair

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Newly-appointed Benguet Board Member Neptali Camsol accepted the challenge of being a legislator and vowed to continue the legacy of his late father.

Camsol, 38, in his speech on Monday, February 10, recognized the hard work assigned to him and thanked the officers of his father’s political party, PDP-Laban.

“I am the second child of the late Board Member Camsol and I am standing in front of you accepting the duties, responsibilities vested upon me by the President of the Philippines appointed to serve the unexpired term of my father,” the young Camsol said during the flag ceremony at Benguet capitol.

“My life is devoted in the farm but that is not the reason I will not perform my duty. To my dad, you are the inspiration and courage for us to continue this work,” he added.

During the regular session of the Provincial Board, he was appointed as the committee chair on ways and means and social justice and human rights. He will also be the vice-chair on committee on senior citizen.

Camsol, who hails from Buguias vowed to work hand in hand with Benguet officials for the betterment of the province.

The young Camsol took his official oath of office led by Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas last week at the provincial capitol replacing his father, who died July 25, 2019 in Baguio City.
