Unidentified woman raped, killed, suspect at-large

INVESTIGATORS are facing a blank wall on the identity of the suspect who allegedly raped and killed an unidentified girl in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental early Monday, February 10.

The victim, believed to be 12-18 years old, was found half naked and lying lifeless inside an abandoned house in Barangay Natumulan. She has no pants and her underwear was tucked on her mouth.

Police have yet to identity both the suspect and victim as of Monday.

Authorities said the minor sustained severe head injuries and a wound on her neck.

Police are still waiting for the report from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) who determines the cause of death of the victim.

Investigators are also collecting pieces of evidence and testimonies of witnesses that will lead to the identity and arrest of the perpetrator.

Man arrested for stealing pineapples

Police arrested a person who was caught stealing pineapples in a plantation in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on Saturday, February 8.

Theft charges was filed against Danilo Esto, 59, unemployed, and a resident of barangay Sumpong, Malaybalay City.

Esto was caught stealing some 12 pieces of pineapples from Del Monte Philippines Incorporated in Barangay 10, Malaybalay City.

The suspect is temporarily detained at Malaybalay City Police Office.
