Why mothers need spa time

MOTHERS are selfless. They put their children/family’s interests first before them. With their busy schedule juggling work and home responsibilities, they tend to forget to take care of themselves – that is why mothers deserve to be pampered.

To show our love for them especially this Valentine’s, let her take that day off she so deserves and allow her to dive in a pampering experience to get that relaxing moment that she’s been wanting for.

Jennifer Paquibot, operations manager of the Elysia Wellness Spa, shared that for working moms like her, a spa time especially massage treatment can do a lot of magic to her body after a long and tiring day.

“Hagu atong lawas kada adlaw, pag mata pa lang sa buntag sugod na tag lihok sa mga buluhaton sa balay, hantud pag abot sa opisina. Kada adlaw nato ni ginabuhat (Our body gets tired with our daily routine. From the moment we wake up preparing almost everything at home until we get to work in the office, we’ve been using our energy for all these duties and this keeps on repeating almost every day),” she said, adding massage treatment, even just for an hour, can relax the worn out muscles and normalizes blood circulation.

She also said massage helps mothers to have a good night sleep and promotes mental health.

“Isa pud na makatabang ang massage sa isa ka inahan kay ang massage maka-reduce ug depression (Massage also helps mothers reduce depression),” she said.

Moreover, Paquibot shared massage also helps to achieve a healthier skin.

“Samtang ginamasahe ang skin, naga-increase ang blood flow ug naga-release og fresh oxygenated blood and nutrients (While we are having our massage on the skin, our blood flow increases and it also promotes the release of fresh oxygenated blood and nutrients),” she said.

Indeed, taking a spa time gives one, especially our hardworking moms a number of benefits that help them perform and fulfill more effectively their responsibilities at home and at work.
