Cadavers discovered in Tuba anew

TUBA, Benguet -- Cadavers were discovered in Tuba, Benguet in less than two months.

On February 11, Tuba Municipal Police Station, Tuba Fire Station, Tuba Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office responded to a reported unidentified male cadaver found in advanced stage of decomposition at the upper riverbanks of Bued, Camp 3.

Tuba MPS added a resident found the victim with his head crushed.

The cadaver was later identified as Christian Del Prado Alvar by his relatives.

On February 5, a retrieval operation was conducted for an unidentified adult female found in the boundary of Camp 2, Twin Peaks and Camp 3.

Maintenance crew from the Department of Public Works and Highways discovered the female cadaver wearing gray pants, navy blue shirt, 45 to 50 – years – old with her right thumb finger found with incised wound.

On January 31, another retrieval operation was conducted along the riverbanks of Bued river, Klondykes, Camp 1.

The cadaver was identified thru her senior citizen ID as Virginia Sirote, 75, from Mangaldan Pangasinan.

To recall, it was last year when Police Regional Office-Cordillera condemned the dumping of six cadavers and two skeletal remains in a deep ravine along Marcos Highway.

The victims died in various dates but were dumped in Sitio Poyopoy, Tubaa.

The five unidentified bodies were laid to rest in Poblacion.

Three out of the eight retrieved bodies were later identified as Alfredo Domilos Lamenta Jr. also known as Junie Batang-e from Tadian, Mt. Province, Fahad Manan Macalanggan, 28, native of Marawi City and Kent Charlie Licyayo, 22, native of Ifugao both residents of Baguio City.
