THE Stallions showed no love to the Hawks on Valentine’s Day as they crushed the latter, 95-82, in the Elite Basketball Cebu City Season 17 at the Visayan Glass Gym on Friday night, February 14, 2020.

The Hawks started off strong as they built a 43-36 lead at halftime but the Stallions found their rhythm in the third canto, where they uncorked a huge 30-13 blast to take complete control of the game and come away with the win, their third in as many outings.

Prolific big man Kim Trigue led the Stallions with 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists while former University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars forwards Ajie Villaver and John Villabrille had 19 points apiece. Johncle Molero showed off his versatility as he racked up 13 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and five steals.

James Truz led the Hawks, which dropped to 0-4, got 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

In the other game, the Rams snatched their third win in four tries with a 105-92 win over the Tigers. Jeslar Larumbe and John Capuyan each had a double-double to power the Rams to the hard-earned win.

Larumbe tallied 27 points, 12 boards and six assists while Capuyan had 25 points, 13 boards and four dimes. Jerome Soque also had 24 markers, five assists and four steals. (JNP)
