THE Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the City Social Welfare and Development office (CSWDO) has scheduled to conduct of a two-day job fair in this city.
Ma. Socorro Rojas, CSWDO head, said the job fair, which will held on February 27 to 28 at the KCC Mall de Zamboanga, is in line with the 83rd Dia de Zamboanga or Charter Anniversary celebration.
Rojas said the activity is Dubbed as “Dia de Zamboanga Job Fair.”
Rojas said that some 12,000 job vacancies will be up for grabs during the 2-day fair with the expected participation of 40 local companies that include Shoe Mart (SM) affiliates, manufacturing and construction companies, and medical facilities and 15 overseas recruitment agencies.
She said that for local positions (to include Makati, Manila, General Santos City and Cagayan de Oro City), there will over 3,000 job vacancies while for overseas placements there will be some 8,000 job orders.
She said that the positions to be filled up include nurses, engineers, construction workers, welders, cleaners, service crew and many more.
Encouraged to participate are not only new or old graduates but even those without experience who finished only elementary level; those who are in junior or senior high school level, college level as well as those NC2 holders. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
