A VILLAGE councilman was stabbed while pacifying a drunk person in Kitaotao, Bukidnon on Thursday, February 13.
Barangay Bolocaon councilor Cesario Destinado was rushed to the hospital after he was stabbed by Arnold Bocado with a six-inch knife.
The victim sustained multiple stab wounds on the different parts of his body.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was pacifying the drunk suspect, who was allegedly causing trouble in the area.
The suspect is now detained and will face charges.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old worker of Crystal Sugar Milling Company was shot by an unidentified assailant in Maramag town.
The victim, identified as Marlon Malunes, was driving his motorcycle and was heading for duty.
Upon reaching the place of incident, the suspect appeared and shot him once.
He sustained a lone gunshot wound on his body and he still managed to drive toward his workplace and sought for help.
