THE Sherilin Red Arowanas rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half to defeat the RMA Cargo Logistics in a fight-marred quarterfinal game in the Metro Cebu Basketball League Season 5 Rad Teamwear Cup at the City Sports Club-Cebu on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020.
The Red Arowanas were down by as much as 14 points in the third period as RMA kept its wits about them, even after losing several key players in the wake of a skirmish at the end of the second canto.
But with King Osabel, Dunn Labata and Rory Paspie hitting their stride, RMA was able to build on their lead after finishing the first half up by just six, 44-38.
However, Sherilin came alive in the fourth, thanks to several heads up plays of Japanese forward Shohei Horigo, Albert Ardiente and John Velasco, to finally surge in front, 86-85, with 2:05 to go. (JNP)
