THE bid to promote agriculture especially to the youth has gained boost through a three-day trade fair initiated by the Green Ranchers Club (GRC) of the University of Saint La Salle (USLS) in Bacolod City.

Themed "The Heart of a Farmer: Farmhand to Agripreneur," the Agricultural Tarde Fair 2020 was held at the school from February 12 to 14.

Now on its seventh year, the event aims to showcase agri-related products and harvests from agribusiness students, as well as local farmers and entrepreneurs.

The club, which is under the Agribusiness Management Department, is headed Dale Lewis Belarma as president.

"Also, the trade fair is one way to promote the course and encourage the youth to engage themselves in farming," its moderator Bea Emma Bachinela said.

The Agribusiness Management, meanwhile, is headed by department chair Edmundo Raul Causing.
