TWO persons were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in Hacienda Margasa 1, Barangay E Lopez, Silay City on February 15.
The suspects were identified by the Silay City Police Station as Rey Aballes, of legal age and Henry Benauro, 60, both residents of the same place.
The two suspects were arrested by the joint elements of 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (lead unit) led by Police Captain Eric Doronila and the 64th Special Action Company led by Police Captain Renato Monreal together with Silay City Police Station by virtue of a search warrant issued and signed by Judge Ana Celestr Bernad, Acting Executive Judge, RTC Branch 69, Silay City, dated February 11, 2020 for violation of RA 10591 (Illegal possession of firearms and ammunition).
Recovered from Aballes were a Caliber .45; an extended magazine, a short steel magazine and 14 pieces live ammos of Caliber .45 while recovered from Banauro were a caliber .45 ; two pieces short steel magazine; nineteen pieces ammos of Caliber .45 and one black inside holster.
The suspects are now under the custody of Silay City Police Station.
