THE Iloilo Provincial Government received two national awards given by the Bureau of Local Government Finance for its revenue generation efforts.
The province ranked sixth among all the provinces based on the 2018 Total Local Revenue Collections. It also placed ninth for surpassing the 2018 BLGF Collection Target for Total Local Revenues.
Of the P1,453,075,233 target, Iloilo Province collected P1,510,058,494 or a 103.92 percent collection efficiency.
The revenue collection is a joint effort of the Provincial Treasurer's Office and the Provincial Assessor's Office.
OIC Provincial Treasurer Runstedt Arcosa and Provincial Assessor Mae Katherine Sullano presented the awards to Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. and Board Member Rolando Distura during the regular flag ceremony on February 17, 2020.
Defensor challenged the Provincial Treasurer's Office to aim for a higher rank. (PR)
