DayLe bounces back to win Ladies trios league

TOP seed DayLe Team 1 bounced back in the championship round, 329-289, against lower seed ASSFBI Ladies to secure the title in the recently-concluded 8th ON-BACIBA/FCI Ladies’ Trios Tournament at Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

ASSFBI led by Sylvia del Rosario edged DayLe 1 of Daya Magallanes by a single digit, 298-290, during their initial final’s face-off to level the playing lanes.

The champion team was composed of Jing Lamis, Cheing Diamante, Jozel Balontong, and Mae Memoracion with Magallanes and Leah Uy as managers.

The eventual 1st runner-up earned the right to challenge the number one team of the tourney by stopping fourth seed Tiger Eye 1 of ace duckpinner and Master Bowler Jumilyn Dela Cruz, 276-272. Tiger Eye, meanwhile, defeated third seed BCY/AMC, 343-335, during the first game of the up-the-ladder finals to finish 2nd runner-up.

On the other hand, Thunder Cats of Gladys Leonardo scored 283 during the consolation contest participated by eight teams to win the crown during the ladder finals.

Special awards were given to best scorers during the elimination round including Tiger Eye 1 for highest pinfalls in 3 games with 1,000; Kareen Khubchand of DayLe 2 for highest pinning - 94; Jennifer Jamora of BCY/AMC for highest single - 144; and Cheing Diamante of DayLe 1 for highest triple - 374.
