JOURNEYMAN Adones Aguelo hopes to keep his winning streak alive as he gets another overseas assignment.
The 31-year-old Aguelo, a veteran of 55 pro fights, faces off with Uzbek upstart Abdurasul Ismoilov in an eight-rounder on Feb. 29, 2020 at the Felix Hotel Casino in Bavet, Cambodia.
Aguelo is in peak form as of late and won his last two fights in 2019—a third round technical knockout of Jimmy Borbon and a fourth round stoppage of once world-ranked Eden Sonsona.
“Aguelo is in top shape. We’ll be looking for a knockout. We know what will happen if we won’t knock him out,” Aguelo’s trainer Brix Flores said.
Aguelo is 33-20-2 with 23 knockouts, while Ismoilov is 7-1 with four knockouts. (EKA)
