Spotlighting fashion and style in JS prom

THE Junior-Senior (JS) promenade is a social rite of passage where boys and girls in high schools are introduced as ladies and gentlemen in a formal evening ball. It is usually held in the month of February. A lot of our local high schools have already celebrated their school prom.

The dresses and suits worn by junior and senior promenaders have inevitably spotlighted the fashion and style that are now trending on social media.

The purpose of the JS prom is to provide the students with their first opportunity to experience a formal dance, ball or cotillion with their chosen partners.

And they indeed wowed everyone in their choice of gowns and suits.

Looking nice and decent also entails costs.

Some students rented their gowns ranging from P8,000 to P10,000. But for those who bought new gowns, the cost ranged from P15,000 to P25,000.

For make-up, hotel room and all the other relevant expenses, a parent would spend a total of P25,000 just for their young ladies and gents to have memorable promenade.

But for parents, it is always priceless to see their sons and daughters in glitz and glamor.
