The Covid-19 Tracker of the Department of Health (DOH) as of 12 p.m. on February 22 showed that all the PUIs in the region had tested negative and have been released from the hospital.

Dr. Ricardo Audan, Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) chief of Clinics and Health Emergency Management Bureau (HEMB) coordinator, confirmed that there are no more patients in their isolation facility.

The last patient they had was released on February 19 after the laboratory test yielded a negative result.

To date, Davao Region remains free from coronavirus disease.

Overall, DOH said that there are a total of 130 PUIs currently admitted in different health facilities across the country.

There have been no new confirmed cases.

The National Capital Region (PUI) topped regions with the most number of PUIs at 105, followed by Calabarzon with five, and Bicol with 4. In Mindanao, only two PUIs remained admitted pending their results.

DOH Davao reiterated its call to the public to wear masks if they are sick to avoid infecting other people.

Health authorities also recommend practicing proper hygiene such as cleaning hand with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub; cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or flexed elbow; and avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.
