TWO suspected drug personalities have yielded over P1 million worth of illegal drugs during a police operation launched in Minalin town.
Chief of police Major Fernando Tolentino identified the suspects as John Christian Canlas, 32, a resident of Guagua town, and Karen Canda, 21, from Taguig City.
Tolentino said a concerned citizen tipped the local police of the illegal transaction that will transpire between the suspects and their buyers.
Upon receipt of the information, the local police immediately planned and launched the operation, which led to the suspects' arrest.
Confiscated from the suspect were 17 sachets of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 250 grams and with an estimated street value of P1.2 million.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
During investigation, it was also learned that Canlas was also arrested for the same charges back in 2016.
